With over 12 years of legal experience, I am a seasoned corporate commercial lawyer specializing in investment law, market entry, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), corporate restructurings, joint ventures (JVs), regulatory compliance, and taxation in Iraq. As a Principal Associate at a global law firm, I have led strategic legal initiatives for major multinational companies across sectors including telecommunications, banking, FinTech, oil & gas, and renewable energy. I have extensive expertise in guiding international investors through the complexities of the Iraqi legal landscape, advising on investment laws and regulations to ensure successful market entry and operations. I played a pivotal role in the restructuring of a leading telecom group, as well as major M&A transactions involving two major international banks. Additionally, I led the incorporation of an International Bank into Iraq and have been instrumental in advising on joint ventures, helping clients navigate Iraq’s evolving legal environment.
