Overview
Hatem Al-Shammari is the Managing Partner of LEXIR Law Firm and leads the firm’s corporate, transactional and investment practice. He has more than 12 years of experience advising international and Iraqi businesses on mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, market entry, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, regulatory compliance, taxation and complex commercial matters in Iraq. Before establishing LEXIR, Hatem worked for more than a decade in the Baghdad office of an international law firm, where he led significant corporate and commercial mandates. He holds an LL.B. and is a member of the Iraq Bar Association.
